What We Do

We have led the effort to permanently support and educate several high school students.

Our Mission - Citius, Altius, Fortius

Faster, Higher, Stronger

Tikkun Olam aims to push students in accelerated courses of study in order to achieve higher achievements and push past mental boundaries. Tikkun Olam helps our high school students realize that they are stronger than they believe and have the leadership skills to impact their communities.

Our History

Tikkun Olam was founded in 2021 by Katrina N. Bailey, a Cornell alum and educator. She has tutored students within the greater Newark area in several disciplines for over 30 years and has dedicated herself to this passion. Katrina N. Bailey received her Bachelor's Degree in Government and History from Cornell University and went on to teach within the Greater Newark Area to support organizations looking to provide educational opportunities to diligent students. Her love for seeing students succeed has pushed her to create this organization.

Deeply affected by her work, Ms. Bailey reached out to her community and Cornell network to begin to address the challenge of providing educational opportunities for young people. In response, Tikkun Olam Foundation Inc. was founded with the mission to provide superior educational opportunities for young men and women nationwide to achieve academic excellence and personal development within their environment.

“Katrina is awesome at what she does! She has motivated my 13-year-old son to work hard and do his best. He loves working with her! I could write a book about how she has helped my daughter raise her SAT score by 200 points. She is not only her SSAT Prep teacher, but she has also developed a mentoring relationship with her that has blossomed into something beautiful.”

“I was introduced to the Tikkun Olam Foundation as an 8th grader looking to go to a boarding high school. Initially, I expected to use the program’s test-prep resources to score well on the SSAT, which I did, but what I got in addition was infinitely more valuable. Thanks to my tutors and connections from the Tikkun Olam Foundation, I have gained countless executive functioning skills, taken on leadership roles, and met an educator who acted not only as my tutor, but as a mentor who equipped me with the confidence to achieve my goals. Educators associated with the Tikkun Olam Foundation show students that someone believes in them, which I believe makes all the difference. Now, I am a student pilot with almost 40 hours of flight time and I’m working towards earning my private pilot license before I finish highschool. What I love most about this foundation is that all of the educators involved genuinely care about the wellbeing and interests of their students and aim only to create a positive, productive environment that nurtures and embraces change as well as excellence. If you consider enrolling in this program, you can rest assured that not only will you be provided with a top-notch education, but with an endless stream of opportunity and hope.”
